Sermons from 2026
October 18, 2026
Learning to rely on the direct guidance of the Holy Spirit is something every believer must do. This morning we take a look at a biblical example, along with a personal and imminent illustration from our own church life. Acts 16 & 19
The Hope of Glory
October 11, 2026 The Gospel was new, once. Before Christ’s death and resurrection, the world lay in spiritual darkness so complete that the promises of God must have seemed impossible and incomprehensible. In fact, we know that because Colossians tells us that it was a mystery, hidden from everyone until the right moment. Now that the Holy Spirit has been poured out on us, we can see this mystery clearly, and proclaim it boldly. Col 1:24-2:5
TELOS
Jesus is the master, King, Creator, Sustainer, and Lord over everything and everyone in the cosmos. We saw that last week, in one of the most majestic descriptions of Jesus outside the book of Revelation. This morning we will look at the next 3 verses, in order to see what all of that means for us. Col 1:21-23.
Christ Incomparable
When you contemplate Jesus for very long, you begin to run out of words to describe him. In this passage from Colossians, the limits of human language become apparent as we try to stand back and behold him through this majestic description of Jesus’ identity and status. Col 1:13-20.
A Prayer for all Believers
Like many of Paul’s New Testament letters, Colossians opens with a prayer for those who read it. In this special Outdoor service, we’ll be studying and discussing this prayer for all believers from Colossians 1:9-14.
A Letter from Someone You’ve Never Met
Today, we begin a series through the book of Colossians, a letter written by Paul to believers whom he’d never met.
The Toughest Question (8.23.26)
Whenever we think about suffering the toughest question is “why?”. God’s word gives us a way to answer that question.
The Reason (part 2) Aug. 16, 2026
Following up on what we learned last week from Matthew 25, God’s purpose for our lives is that we receive what he has entrusted to us and put it to work for his glory. As we’ll see today, this is the way it’s always been, the way it will always be, and is true for all of us – no matter who we are. Selected Scriptures.
The Reason (part 1) Aug. 9, 2026
What is life for? Why are we here? What is my purpose? We live in a world that is either withholding the truth about these questions, or giving false substitutes to millions of people. Only Jesus Christ had the right answer for such important questions as these, and today we’ll look at how he tried to show us the way. From Matthew 25.
